Table Tennis Equipment

Butterfly

Timo Boll's career-defining blade — built for the aggressive two-winged looper. The outer Arylate-Carbon layers fire the ball off with explosive acceleration, while the 5-ply wood core retains genuine dwell time for confident topspins. A medium-high throw keeps your loops landing safely, and the premium ALC construction rewards full, committed swings with vivid pace and spin.

Butterfly

A high-rebound Super ZLC blade built around Lin Yun-Ju's close-to-table attacking game. Its dense Super ZL Carbon construction gives clean contact a firm, direct response, helping fast counters, banana flicks, and committed topspins leave the racket with pace. The wide high-repulsion area adds stability across the face, but the short contact window gives you little time to correct a late or loose stroke. This is a precision offensive blade: powerful when your timing is clean, exacting when it is not.

Butterfly

Buy the Butterfly Viscaria, the classic 5+2 Arylate-Carbon offensive blade built for modern topspin and counterlooping. Its Arylate layer adds lightness, flexibility, and shock absorption, while the carbon provides efficient rebound and stability without the harsh response of a very stiff blade. The mid-fast, soft-feeling character gives skilled players useful dwell for opening against backspin, extra spin on committed loops, and a clean response when re-looping close to the table or from mid-distance. The compact 157 x 150 mm head supports quick timing and fast re-looping, while the 86 g average weight and 5.7 mm thickness keep the setup balanced and maneuverable. Viscaria is best suited to intermediate and advanced two-winged attackers who want a dependable blend of speed, control, touch, and carbon stability. Its softer feedback can require a short adjustment period for flat hits and passive blocks, but with controlled technique it remains one of the most versatile offensive table tennis blades available.

Butterfly

The next evolution of the most iconic blade in table tennis history. Viscaria Super ALC upgrades the legendary benchmark with Butterfly's advanced Super Arylate-Carbon fiber — lighter, stiffer, and faster — woven into the same celebrated 5+2 geometry. It keeps the beloved Viscaria feel but turns it up: the click is sharper, the dwell a touch shorter, the speed and rebound noticeably hotter. A medium-low throw gives an honest, penetrating trajectory that rewards flat, driving, committed contact.

Butterfly

The control freak's carbon blade. Inner fiber means the ALC layers are buried inside the wood — you get carbon-level power, but the outer wood plies give a softer, more natural ball contact. Exceptional control with hidden acceleration. Best for intermediate to advanced players who want carbon performance without the harsh, stiff feel of outer carbon. Perfect for backhand loopers, two-winged all-round players, and anyone building confidence with carbon. Medium-high throw is very forgiving. Great pairing: Dignics 05 FH and Rozena or Rakza 7 BH. If carbon blades have felt too rigid before, start here.

Butterfly

Built for Harimoto's explosive close-to-table style. Same inner ALC philosophy as the Innerforce Layer but tuned for faster, more reactive play near the table. Short, compact backhand loops and fast flicks explode off this blade with authority. The crisp feedback tells you exactly where every ball is going — great for players who react quickly and punish any loose ball near the table. Best for advanced aggressive players who stay close, use fast footwork, and counter-attack relentlessly. Excellent touch on delicate shots combined with serious power on attacks. Advanced level only.

Butterfly

Light, explosive, and unforgivingly direct. ZL Carbon is stiffer than ALC, producing lower, flatter trajectories that stay low over the net and skid fast off the table. Mizutani's blade is notably lightweight for a pro-grade blade, amplifying wrist speed for sharp, quick exchanges. Best for advanced offensive players who attack flat, drive through the ball, and use low-arc trajectories to surprise opponents. Not for high-arc topspin specialists — this blade wants you to drive and counter-attack, not loop high. Medium-low throw. Requires excellent technique to consistently land shots. Great for players who play close to the table with quick wrists.

Butterfly

The friendliest carbon blade Butterfly makes — and the perfect first step into the carbon world. The two carbon layers add noticeable pop and speed without making the blade feel stiff or unforgiving. Medium-high throw gives your loops a safe margin over the net. Excellent for intermediate players making their first move into carbon equipment. Also loved by choppers and control players who occasionally want to go on the offensive. If you want to mix solid defensive play with sudden, punchy attacks, Primorac Carbon handles both beautifully. Approachable for all skill levels. Great pairing with Rozena or Rakza 7.

Butterfly

Carry the blade of the world's greatest player. Fan Zhendong's ALC is heavier than most ALC blades, adding serious momentum to loop drives that makes them penetrate deeper and kick harder on the opponent's side. The ALC construction delivers explosive forehand topspin power that is genuinely difficult to counter. A medium-high throw gives your loops a generous margin while the extra blade weight powers through every full-swing shot.

Butterfly

The blade that carried Fan Zhendong to Olympic gold. The Fan Zhendong Super ALC is the evolution of the world champion's signature racket, upgrading the celebrated Super Arylate-Carbon fiber used in his biggest wins. It keeps the FZD signature heavier swingweight and forehand-dominant power, but the stiffer, faster Super ALC weave makes ball contact briefer and the rebound hotter — turning your biggest loops into shots that stab through and kick viciously off the opponent's side. A firm, direct, medium-low throw gives an honest, penetrating arc that rewards full, committed, straight-through contact.

Butterfly

The thinking player's foundation. Five plies of hand-selected wood (Limba-Limba-Ayous-Limba-Limba) give the Korbel its famous soft, warm feel with honest, natural feedback — no carbon, no tricks, just a blade that rewards proper technique. The slightly larger head and flexible core provide genuine dwell time, making it one of the best wooden blades for developing consistent loops, drives, and touch play. Wide sweet spot makes it forgiving on off-centre hits — great for players still developing consistency. Best for developing to intermediate players building solid fundamentals, and for choppers who want reliable counterplay. Coaches frequently recommend this blade because it teaches players to produce their own speed and spin rather than relying on rubber or blade technology. High throw for looping, very high control. Great for all-round play and excellent value. Choppers and defenders will feel very comfortable here.

Butterfly

A fast, stiff power blade known for explosive attacking play. The Sardius pairs three wood plies with two layers of Butterfly's ultra-hard T5000 carbon, delivering world-dominating speed that makes it a favourite among pips-out hitters and power attackers who want maximum pop. The 7.0mm thickness and stiff construction reward hard, full-commitment shots — tentative strokes will feel blunt. Best for advanced power attackers and pips players who drive, smash, and finish points fast. Not for beginners or soft-loop play: this blade wants conviction on every contact. If you want genuine attacking power and are willing to work for the control, Sardius rewards aggressive play in spades.

Stiga

Sweden's most powerful weapon. Carbonado 290 is built for players who want outright speed — the carbon layers create an exceptional catapult effect that launches balls with tremendous force from mid-to-far distance. Low-medium throw keeps drives penetrating and flat. Best for advanced offensive players who attack relentlessly and want to overwhelm opponents with pace. Not for touch players or defenders — every shot demands conviction. If you loop hard, drive hard, and smash hard, Carbonado 290 will take your game to the next level. Pair with hard, high-speed rubbers like Dignics 05 or Tenergy 05 for maximum effect.

Stiga

Innovation meets performance. The Cybershape's unique teardrop shape expands the sweet spot significantly — you connect cleanly on contacts that would mishit a standard rectangular blade. The carbon layers provide explosive power while the enlarged hitting surface keeps you in control during fast exchanges and reactive blocks. Best for advanced offensive players who move a lot, play from varied positions, and want maximum margin for error in fast rallies. If you've ever felt let down by off-centre hits on a carbon blade, Cybershape solves that problem. Unusual, bold, and genuinely effective.

Stiga

The classic that has trained generations. Stiga Offensive Classic has an almost perfect balance of speed and control for developing offensive play — quick enough for decisive attacks, controlled enough for building solid technique. The medium-soft feel is forgiving and teaches you to place the ball accurately before worrying about power. Best for beginners to intermediate players building their first offensive game. Excellent for learning loops, backhand drives, and serves. One of the most frequently recommended blades in European training centres. If you want a blade that grows with you through your first year of serious training, this is it.

Stiga

The most celebrated 7-ply blade in history. Clipper Wood provides legendary all-round performance — quick enough for decisive attacks, soft enough for delicate touch play. Used by world champions for decades. The famous 'alive' feeling means the ball always feels connected — you can feel every spin, every edge, every contact through the blade. Best for intermediate to advanced all-round players, and for choppers who mix in sudden offensive attacks. Excellent for players who rely on variation, placement, and tactical consistency. Medium throw, very high control. One of the most satisfying blades ever made.

Stiga

The legendary Clipper Wood with Stiga's CR (surface) treatment. Note: the CR is NOT a carbon blade — it is the same celebrated 7-ply all-wood Clipper construction, with the outer layers given a special lacquer/polymer surface treatment that adds a touch more hardness, speed, and an enlarged sweet spot while making rubber easy to peel and re-glue. You keep all the honest, flexible, all-wood feel of the Clipper Wood with a slightly harder, livelier response. Best for intermediate to advanced all-round offensive players who want the timeless Clipper feel with a bit more pace and a protective surface, and for attackers who re-glue rubbers frequently. If you love all-wood control but want a step up in stiffness and speed without moving to carbon, Clipper CR is the natural choice.

Yasaka

Ma Lin's legendary penhold power in a fast 5-ply all-wood blade. Developed from the successful Yasaka Offensive, the YEO uses a slightly thicker, harder center veneer to add power while keeping the light weight and honest feel that make it one of the all-time great all-wood blades. Superb spin-friendly construction with a flexible, high-throw character — perfect for Ma Lin-style explosive forehand loops, loaded opening topspins, and comfortable touch play. An outstanding all-round offensive blade that scales from intermediate level up through strong club and regional competition, with a feel that almost never holds you back.

Yasaka

The quintessential Swedish all-wood foundation. Clean, predictable, and deeply forgiving, the Sweden Extra is one of the most beloved development blades in the game. Medium pace and excellent touch make it ideal for learning every aspect of table tennis — loops, drives, blocks, chops, serves. Best for beginners to intermediate players. Teaches you to generate your own speed and spin rather than relying on equipment. Beloved by coaches, academies, and training clubs globally. If you are learning the game seriously and want a blade that stays with you for 1–3 years without holding you back, Sweden Extra is the answer.

Donic

Ovtcharov's speed machine with intelligent vibration control. AVS (Anti Vibration System) technology in the handle filters uncomfortable vibrations while delivering carbon-level explosive speed — the result is a blade that feels smooth and comfortable even during fast, hard exchanges. Best for advanced offensive players who dislike the jarring, stiff feel of traditional carbon blades. The AVS technology reduces arm fatigue during long training sessions. Fast enough for power attackers, controllable enough for confident all-round play. Excellent for competitive players who train hard and need both performance and physical comfort over time.

Donic

The legend's choice, with extraordinary feedback. Waldner Senso Carbon uses Senso technology in the handle to amplify vibration information from every ball contact — you always know whether you caught it clean, hit it off-centre, or got a glancing touch. This tactile intelligence helps you understand and improve your strokes in real time. Best for technically minded players who want to develop their game through better feedback and awareness. The carbon layers add competitive speed while the Senso handle keeps you fully connected to the ball. An excellent blade for players who train seriously and want to learn faster.

Tibhar

A balanced, do-it-all 7-ply all-wood blade designed around Vladimir Samsonov's precise, intelligent game. The limba/ayous construction offers "perceptible power" with excellent ball control and comfortable dwell time — enough speed for decisive attacks combined with genuine feel for placement, touch, and counterplay. Best for all-round offensive players who value consistency and placement over raw speed. Great for players who rely on reading the opponent, varying pace and spin, and controlled blocks. Praised as one of the most underrated competition blades available — reliable, consistent, and more capable than its price suggests. Excellent choice for club to regional competition.

Xiom

Professional-level performance at an accessible price. Xiom Vega Pro delivers carbon-level acceleration with a comfortable medium-hard feel that is more approachable than premium Japanese blades. Best for intermediate to advanced offensive players entering competitive table tennis. Balanced speed, spin, and control make it reliable in match situations — not the most explosive blade, but consistently effective. Excellent for club and regional competition. A smart choice for players who want to improve without equipment holding them back and without breaking the bank. Medium-high throw.

Victas

Pure sensation in blade form. Koki Niwa Wood is extraordinary for its sensitivity — every spin, touch, and vibration transmits clearly and honestly through the blade. Best for advanced players who prioritise feeling and control above all else. Superb for choppers and all-round defenders who must read every incoming spin to survive against strong attackers. Also excellent for technical attacking players who use precise placement and spin variation rather than raw power. If you believe that feeling the ball is the highest skill in table tennis, Koki Niwa Wood is your ultimate weapon. Medium throw, very high control, made in Japan.

Axylium Carbon's aggressive expression. Ice Cream AZXi delivers explosive speed with Xiom's proprietary Axylium Carbon fiber that creates a catapult effect, rewarding fast, committed strokes. Medium-high throw with excellent spin support on forehand and backhand loops. Best for advanced offensive players who loop hard from mid-distance and want premium Korean engineering. The AZXi construction provides speed and power while retaining a satisfying, connected feel. Not for developing players — you need solid stroke mechanics to control this blade's energy. One of Xiom's best-regarded performance blades.

Xiom

It's slow enough to give you time to react and place the ball correctly, but fast enough to develop proper attacking habits. Best for beginners and recreational players who want to move from rally-based play to actual attacking strokes. Very forgiving sweet spot and medium throw make every stroke feel manageable. An excellent first-step offensive blade for anyone starting to play seriously.

Xiom

A step beyond the standard Zeta — notably more speed, stiffness, and punch for progressing attackers. The Plus variant adds reinforcing layers to elevate the pace well past the base Zeta Offensive and reward players who have outgrown a slower blade. Best for intermediate to advancing players who need more energy in their shots to keep up with stronger club opponents. It plays hard and fast, so you need a solid, committed attack to get the most out of it. A great upgrade when you're ready to be more aggressive and start winning with power rather than placement.

The Stradivarius combines carbon construction with a beautifully natural ball contact — you get speed and power without sacrificing the wood-like sensation that makes every rally enjoyable.
